Maths Classwork
Armistice Day
On Thursday 11th November Yr1/2 walked with Yr 5/6 to the War Memorial at Rewe to lay wreaths and take part in the Armistice Day service.A Poppy Wreath was laid at the Memorial for The Staff and Pupils of Stoke Canon Primary School. If a child belonged to an organisation then they were allowed to wear their uniform into school for the day eg. Guides, Brownies, Rainbows, Cubs, Scouts, Beavers and Boys Brigade.
Trip to Dartmoor.
We went to Bellever Tor. We were learning how to make maps and we drew maps of where we walked. We were spotting geographical features to put on to our maps.We then looked at OS maps to compare them with the ones that we had made to see any differences. A good day enjoyed by all enjoying all the views.
Day of the Dead Masks
Day of the Dead is a celebration of life and not death.The celebration was started in Mexico and Central America. This celebration is not the same as Halloween.People eat sugar and chocolate skulls and play with brightly coloured skulls.
Spring Term 2022
Chinese New Year
The children made masks and also sampled noodles and tried to eat them with chopsticks.
Pancake Day
An assembly was held in the school hall and Mrs Bilton talked about Pancake Day and then the children in Yr 1/2 sampled pancakes. They were yummy!
Later on the children were able to have pancake races and also had races in teams.
World Book Day
Each child has entered a competition organised by The Devon Library Service. The t shirt design was of your favourite book character. The pictures of t shirt are under "T shirt competition".
World Book Day in School
Comic Relief Day-Wear something Red or Dress as your Hero.

SCARF stands for Safety, Caring, Achievement, Resilience and Friendship.
Coram Life Education & SCARF are the UK's leading Charity provider of PHSE and wellbeing education in primary schools. They visited the school and provided workshops for each class, really focusing on how we understand and react to our own feelings and of those around us.
