Ethos Group

The Ethos group work with Revd. Deborah to reflect on the Christian ethos of the school, as well as broader spiritual values. This is done through weekly meetings that focus on the school’s values for the term, Bible stories and spiritual topics. Recent topics have included respect, tolerance, self esteem and community. The Ethos group uses discussion and reflection to explore ideas, and develops activities for collective worship and other spiritual activities such as prayer spaces in church, and inclusion day. The group also evaluates its own work, thinking about what went well and how things could be improved. Members of the Ethos group role model the expectations for the rest of the school, and are excellent ambassadors for good behaviour and the development of leadership skills in years 5 and 6.
