  • Royal Celebration Day -Friday 5th May

    Thu 27 Apr 2023

    Dear Parents,

On Friday 5th May we will be holding a special celebration day in school to commemorate the Coronation of King Charles. We will be holding a coronation service which will be led by Rev.Tim at 11am when he will be telling the children all about what will happen in the real service.

At lunchtime we will be having our 'Garden Party' with a party lunch so the children will be allowed to dress up in their own 'posh' clothes fit for a Royal party!!!

Nobody needs to bring in a packed lunch that day but we are asking everyone to bring in the following for a ''bring and share' garden tea party. The kitchen will be making a selection of goodies to add to our feast.

Could the following year groups please bring in:

    Year R  Bottles of squash

    Year 1  Crisps and nibbles

    Year 2  Pineapple and cheese

    Year 3  Cup cakes

    Year 4  Cup cakes

Year 5  Fillings- Any one of the following items: cucumber, cheese spread, ham, turkey slices.

    Year 6  Bread

The kitchen will be providing pizza (vegetarian),cakes and sausages.

We are holding a competition to make a 'recycled' crown so look out for details which will be coming home tomorrow.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to the celebration.

  • Royal Coronation Competition

    Thu 27 Apr 2023

    Dear Parents,

As part of our celebration for the Coronation we are holding a 'Recycle Crown' competition. As King Charles has spent his life supporting charities that look after our environment then we thought it only fitting that we make a crown out of recycled materials. You can use cereal boxes, bottle tops or anything you have at home! Please could all entries be in school by Thursday 4th May for judging please. One crown will be chosen to 'crown' the king in our service on Friday 5th May led by Rev.Collins. The crown pictured below will be the crown used in the real ceremony on Saturday 6th May so this might give you some inspiration. There will be small prizes for the winners in each class.

    Kind regards,

    Louise Herbert
