Autumn 2021
Dartmoor Trip
We went to Bellever Tor on Dartmoor.We had a wonderful time studying all the key features of Dartmoor including natural food sources growing on Dartmoor eg. pennywort and gorse flowers.
Cocoa Workshop
We were lucky to have a visit from" We love Chocolate". They helped us to understand the chocolate production from the farms in Africa to how it arrives in the shops for us to buy.
Farm to Fork Workshop
Chestnut Class were lucky enough to have a visit from Quickes Farm. They showed us and talked to us how food comes from the farm and it ends up on our plate.
Spring 2022
Pancake Day
An assembly was held in the school hall by Mrs Bilton who explained about Pancake Day. Afterwards Yr 3/4 were able to partake in pancake races in the playground.
World Book Day
Each child has entered a competition organised by the LIbrary Service. They had to design a T Shirt with their favourite book character. Pictures under "T Shirt competition".
On World Book Day each child was asked to dress up in their favourite book character and bring in the book as well. The morning started off with a Reading Breakfast where the children had croissants, baguettes,butter and jam. We went into church to have an assembly where Mrs Herbert read the story of "Mary Anning". During the morning KS1 children watched a link with Claire Rayner and KS2 watched a link on BBC connected with World Book Day.After lunch the teachers read their favourite story to a group of children. KS2 then linked up with a live link with Michael Rosen and Michael Morpurgo.
Certificates were presented to the children who had taken part in the " Readathon".
SCARF Workshops
SCARF stands for Safety, CAring, Achievement, Resilience and Friendship.
Coram Life Education & SCARF are the UK's leading charity provider of PHSE and wellbeing education in primary schools. They visited the school and provided workshops for each class., really focusing on how we understand and react to our own feelings and of those around us.
Roman Walk around Exeter with Red Coat guide and visit to Exeter Cathedral.

Summer Term 2021
The children have entered a Royal Mail Postage Stamp Competition. They were asked to design a picture of the hero or heroes of the coronavirus pandemic that they would like to see on a stamp.
